Dose of Disney Men: Father's Day Edition
It’s June of 2019 y’all. Which means two things: first of all, Father’s Day is this month, and secondly, we as a society, are what the kids are calling, “woke”. Because of those two things, I think it’s time that we can finally acknowledge something that we have all been thinking for a long time now. Disney’s dad game, is STRONG. Honestly there are zaddy’s straight up everywhere, and I think it’s time we give the “Disney Dad Bods” the appreciation they deserve.
Roger Radcliffe (101 Dalmatians)
Not *technically* a father, but he has 101 fur babies, so I feel like he totally counts! Plus, who doesn’t love a man who can sing and play the piano???
King Triton (The Little Mermaid)
Well, what is there to say? He has like an 18 pack, and is the king of the sea. WE SEA YOU TRITON.
Once again, totally ripped and has the power to wield lightning bolts, which is pretty dang awesome. Not to mention his fatherly belly laugh, is truly something to behold.
Mufasa (The Lion King)
So I know what you’re thinking. He’s an animal. But like, he is fierce, and mighty, and one of the best stinkin’ Disney fathers out there, so yeah, he’s on the hot dad list!
Chief Powhatan (Pocahontas)
Such a calming presence, and can high key pull of a raccoon pelt better than anyone on this planet!
Fa Zhou (Mulan)
He is *slightly* balding, but totally makes up for it with his perfectly groomed facial hair and words of wisdom.
Bob Parr (The Incredibles)
Yooooo. The glow-up scene where he is lifting trains and stuff... *SWOON*
Chief Tui (Moana)
Anyone with Christopher Jackson’s singing voice is automatically sexy. There, I said it.
King Agnarr (Frozen)
We are HERE for a good sideburn moment. Plus he has like 5 million medals, so like, he’s probably dang heroic.
Riley’s Dad (Inside Out)
The scruff and silliness give him the perfect “boy next door” vibe, and we are LIVING.
James (Princess and the Frog)
He knows how to work hard and put on a brave face in the midst of trials. This man can cook, and have you peeped game at his style? Suspenders and rolled up sleeves? WERK.
King Frederic (Tangled)
Can we talk about how tender this man is??? The next time you watch Tangled, watch his face. His devastation as he is sitting by his dying wife’s bedside, his face lighting up looking over Rapunzel’s crib, his tearful eyes when they are lighting Rapunzel’s birthday lantern, and his stunned relief when the guard tells him that the lost princess has been found. WE STAN A MAN THAT IS NOT AFRAID TO SHOW EMOTION.
And there you have it! A comprehensive list of Disney Dad’s who have stolen our hearts in more ways than one! Who do you think is the best? Leave your opinion below!
